Prevention
As most dental disease is preventable, we put a great emphasis on prevention. The three key elements to this are:
1. A healthy diet low in sugar and acidic drinks.
2. Good oral hygiene: brushing twice daily with a fluoride toothpaste and flossing regularly.
3. Avoid smoking as it causes serious, irreversible damage to the gum eventually resulting in the loss of teeth.
Our hygienist is trained to give advice on prevention and demonstrate the use of many oral hygiene products on the market. We also have a range of oral hygiene products on sale at reception. |
