About Us

At Park Road Dental Practice we provide a comprehensive range of dental care at the highest standard in relaxed, state of the art surroundings. The practice was completely renovated in 2009 and now has four fully modernised surgeries and a hospital standard sterilisation room. The premises are air conditioned and there is disabled access to all areas of the building.

Three of the dentists carry out the majority of their work within the health service while Dr Porter treats adult patients privately but continues to offer health service treatment to children and patients receiving benefits. All patients registered with the practice can choose to have NHS or private treatment, however, this may involve changing dentists within the practice: see Private and NHS treatment.

We employ a hygienist / therapist. Her hygiene work involves treating gum conditions, providing oral hygiene instruction and dental health education. As a therapist she carries out treatment on the instruction of the patient's dentist. With children this can include fillings, extraction of baby teeth and simple crowns and root fillings on baby teeth. With adults her treatment is restricted to fillings.
